Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-30.2 · 30 October 2026
The service
These terms govern use of StreamDono (version 2026-10-30.2), a software tool operated by Kristian Bryld ([email protected]). StreamDono lets a streamer show a donation page and on-stream alerts. It is a technical service only.
StreamDono is not a payment service provider, a bank, an e-money institution, or the merchant. StreamDono does not hold donation funds, does not pay out donations, and does not take donations onto its own balance.
Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe. Each streamer connects their own Stripe account and is the merchant of record for donations to that account. The streamer contracts with Stripe under the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (https://stripe.com/legal/connect-account) and Stripe’s other terms.
Charges are direct charges on the streamer’s Standard Stripe account. Stripe’s processing fees are billed to that account. StreamDono charges a platform fee as an application fee. The default is 1% until the streamer has received 50,000 DKK in the calendar year (Europe/Copenhagen), then 0.5%. The rate applies to the whole donation and is not split across that line. The operator may change the steps and may set another rate for one streamer. The rate charged is the one shown on the donation page before payment. The platform fee is kept by the operator and is not refundable, including when a donation is refunded, disputed, or charged back.
A refund, if one is made, is made from the streamer’s Stripe account. The application fee is not refunded with it. StreamDono does not cover refunds, chargeback fees, negative balances, or other losses on the streamer’s Stripe account.
The streamer’s responsibilities
The streamer is solely responsible for:
- Refunds to donors, and the decision to grant or refuse them.
- Chargebacks, disputes, and the fees Stripe charges for them.
- Negative balances and reserves on the streamer’s Stripe account.
- Taxes and reporting of donation income. In Denmark that includes reporting to SKAT. StreamDono does not give tax advice and does not report income for the streamer.
- The content of the stream, alerts, and messages the streamer chooses to display.
- Compliance with the law and with the rules of platforms the streamer uses, including Twitch and YouTube.
Donations
A donation is a voluntary gift. It is not a purchase of goods or services from StreamDono or, unless the streamer agrees otherwise outside this tool, from the streamer. Nothing is owed in return.
Donors have no right of withdrawal against StreamDono beyond what Stripe or mandatory law requires. A donor who wants money back contacts the streamer. Disputes about a donation are between the donor and the streamer. StreamDono is not a party to that dispute and does not decide it.
Who may use it
A streamer must be 18 or older (the age of majority), or a parent or legal guardian must be the account holder. That adult holds the Stripe account and is responsible for the account, payouts, taxes, refunds and the other obligations in these terms. A streamer must also be old enough to use Twitch under Twitch’s own rules.
A donor under 18 may donate only with permission from a parent or guardian. By paying, the donor confirms they are 18 or older, or that they have that permission, and that they are old enough to use Twitch.
The streamer keeps the account credentials, recovery codes, and connected services (Stripe, Twitch, Streamlabs, StreamElements) secure. Activity under the account is the streamer’s responsibility unless the streamer shows that StreamDono caused it.
Prohibited use
The streamer must not use StreamDono for, or accept donations in connection with:
- Anything illegal, including money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or sanctions evasion.
- Card testing or other abuse of payment systems.
- Sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any exploitation of minors.
- The sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or other prohibited goods.
- Impersonation of another person.
- Presenting a sale of goods or services as a donation in order to avoid consumer or tax rules.
- Hate, threats, or other content that is unlawful to publish.
- Malware, or attempts to break, overload, or bypass StreamDono, Stripe, or a connected service.
- Anything forbidden by Stripe’s restricted-business rules or by the rules of Twitch or another platform the streamer uses.
Suspension and termination
Kristian Bryld may suspend or close an account, or disconnect features, if the account is used for fraud, abuse, money laundering, prohibited content, or a material breach of these terms, or if Stripe or the law requires it. The streamer may stop using StreamDono and may ask for the account to be closed, subject to records that must be kept.
Closing an account does not move money. Funds stay in the streamer’s Stripe account under Stripe’s rules.
No warranty
StreamDono is provided as is and as available. There is no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, except where such a warranty cannot legally be excluded.
Kristian Bryld is not liable for downtime, lost or delayed donations, failed or missing alerts, mistakes in fee estimates, or failures of third parties. Third parties include Stripe, Twitch, Streamlabs, StreamElements, and the network or host that runs this installation.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that Danish law does not allow to be limited, including liability for intent and gross negligence, or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Otherwise, Kristian Bryld’s total liability arising out of StreamDono in a 12-month period is capped at the platform fees the streamer actually paid to Kristian Bryld in those 12 months. If no platform fee was paid, that cap is zero. Kristian Bryld is not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost donations, or loss of data, to the extent Danish law allows that exclusion.
Indemnity
The streamer indemnifies Kristian Bryld against claims, losses, fines, and reasonable costs arising from the streamer’s donations, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, stream content, prohibited use, or breach of these terms or of Stripe’s terms. The indemnity does not apply to the extent the claim is caused by Kristian Bryld’s intent or gross negligence.
Changes
Kristian Bryld may change these terms. The version date is shown on this page. Material changes are notified by email to the account address or by a prompt at the next login, at least 30 days before they apply, unless a shorter time is required by law. Continued use after the new version applies, or an explicit acceptance, is acceptance of the new terms. If the streamer does not accept, the account can be closed.
Law and venue
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are brought before the Danish courts. Mandatory rights that a consumer cannot waive, including a right to sue in the consumer’s home courts, are not affected. A streamer who uses StreamDono in the course of business agrees to the Danish courts.
